The Bartlett Pear

Discovered in England and imported in the 1800's, American Bartlett pears are mainly grown in California. This variety displays the classic “pear shape” with a round bottom and clear shoulders that narrow towards the stem. Pears are a natural healthy treat. They’re high in fiber, Vitamin C, and anti-oxidants, among other beneficial nutrients. Bartletts set the gold standard for the taste and texture of a pear. They’re very aromatic, and mature to develop a mild but sweet flavor with a smooth and buttery texture that’s juicy with each bite. Bartlett pears are simply delicious!
