We're finally ready to announce our two newest changes for 2021: a larger 32 oz size and compostable packaging!
Both our organic pistachios, Nonpareil almonds, and Chandler walnuts will now be available in a large kraft colored 32 oz bag. It's definitely not the prettiest of all packaging. We're even debating if we should just call it what it is, the "ugly" bag.
Despite its appearance, the big brown bag is a perfect fit for us. It carries more almonds, walnuts, or pistachios, which ends up as a saving that we can pass on to you. No window blocks out the sun and preserves freshness so you can take your time to finish all 32 ounces. And best of all, the material is 100% compostable in a composting facility!
Speaking of compostable packaging, our new 2oz packages (pictured on right) are also 100% compostable in a composting facility. We really enjoyed our old 2oz bags but moving away from them was a major goal for 2021. Let's reduce our reliance on single-use plastics!
The labels have changed too. Instead of sticker labels with strong adhesives, we switched to printed tags attached with twine. Both should be recyclable at your local recycling facility. Our 16oz and 8oz packaging haven't changed yet but we hope to make the shift soon.
